After Oral Surgery Recipes

YUMMY WAKE-UP SMOOTHIE

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Serves: about 3 cups (2-4 servings)

Ingredients:

  • 1 large ripe banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup hulled strawberries
  • 1/2 cup raspberries, or peeled and sliced kiwi (about 2)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Directions:

Place all ingredients in the blender and process on high speed until smooth, about 30 to 45 seconds. Pour into glasses and serve.

PUMPKIN AND APPLE SOUP

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 6 one cup servings

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons McCormick Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick Ginger, ground
  • 1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin
  • 1 cup chucky applesauce
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3 1/2 cups chick broth

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in large saucepan on medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir 5 minutes or until softened. Stir in pumpkin pie spice and ginger.
  2. Stir in pumpkin, applesauce and broth until well blended and smooth. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. (If smoother soup is desired, place mixture in batches in blender container; cover and blend until smooth.) Stir in cream. Heat gently before serving, if necessary.

BUTTERMILK PANCAKE RECIPE

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 6-8 minutes
Serves: 6 one cup servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Bisquick Mix
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon (or less) Almond extract (optional)

Directions:

Stir all ingredients until blended. Heat griddle or skillet to medium-high heat or electric griddle to 375 degrees. Add a little bit of butter to the hot griddle or skillet. Surface is ready when a few drops of water sprinkled on it dance and disappear. Pour about cupfuls onto hot surface. Cook until edges are dry. Flip and cook until golden brown.
