Hybrid Implant Denture
If you are in danger of losing your teeth or you already have, our practice at St. Petersburg Oral Surgery & Dental Implants offer a wide range of teeth replacement options. One of our most popular are hybrid implant dentures because of their comfort, their stability, and their affordability.
What are hybrid implant dentures?
Hybrid dentures are full arch teeth replacement prosthetics that snap onto implants that we place in your jaw. Through a process called osseointegration, the implants fuse to your jawbone, ensuring complete stability that prevents your dentures from moving around. The denture must be placed and removed by an oral surgeon, so they are rarely removed.

How are they different from traditional dentures?
Traditional dentures sit on your gumline while hybrid dentures are fastened to implants. This means hybrid dentures do not slip or fall out when you eat, laugh, or talk. They are secured in place while traditional dentures are removable. Another difference between the two is that hybrid dentures have a pink acrylic gumline that makes them look more natural than traditional dentures.
How much do hybrid implants cost?
What makes hybrid implant dentures affordable is that they only require the placement of four implants compared to individual implants for each tooth. Implant dentures do not require adhesives, cleaners, or pastes which saves you money in the long run. Schedule a consultation with us, and we’d be happy to discuss all costs upfront and help you navigate your insurance benefits. We will do all we can to help put a smile back on your face.
Are they painful?
No. Getting implants and a hybrid denture that snaps on is not painful. We sufficiently anesthetize you before surgery, so you won’t feel a thing. Any discomfort that you experience while you’re recovering can be easily managed with over-the-counter medications, and if necessary, Dr. Fort will prescribe pain medications according to your situation.
Am I a candidate for hybrid dentures?
If you’ve lost your teeth in an accident or from a mouth-related disease or if you’ve lost a large portion of your jawbone from wearing traditional dentures long term, you may be an excellent candidate for hybrid dentures. Come in and see our implant specialist, Dr. Fort, for an evaluation and to discuss your options.
Why Hybrid Dentures Are the Best Option
Hybrid dentures are comfortable, affordable, and natural-looking, all reasons why they are quickly becoming one of our most popular teeth replacement options. Firmly attached to implants that prevent shifting and movement, they allow you to get back to your everyday habits of eating, speaking, and laughing without constraint.
